Rhinoplasty without tip drooping
Before rhinoplasty, 1mm Plastic Surgery carefully evaluates each patient’s skin condition, cartilage structure, and nasal shape.
Considering the overall balance of the face,
a medical-grade implant is used to enhance the nasal bridge, while the nasal tip is refined using the patient’s own cartilage. This personalized approach is designed to create a well-defined yet natural-looking nasal contour that complements the patient’s facial features.
Rhinoplasty Type
Naturally Refined Nose types
Low Nose Bridge
When the nasal bridge between the eyes is low, the face may appear less dimensional and the overall impression can look flat.
At 1mm Plastic Surgery, we consider each patient’s nasal length, facial proportions, nasal line, and angle to help refine a flat-looking nose into a more balanced and defined nasal profile.

Step 01
Designing the nose with overall facial harmony in mind
Autologous tissue
or implantCartilage or
autologous dermisStep 02
Inserting a customized implant designed to match the nasal bridge and tip

Step 03
Creating a refined nasal line that looks balanced from both the front and side views
Short Nose (Upturned Nose)
A short or upturned nose may cause excessive nostril exposure from the front view. In such cases, correction may be needed to reduce the appearance of visible nostrils.
Because the nasal bones, septal cartilage, and tip cartilage may be relatively small, and the skin tissue around the nasal tip may be limited, the procedure focuses on lengthening the necessary structures and supporting the nose to help maintain the corrected length.

Step 01
Partially trimming the alar cartilage

Step 02
Using the trimmed alar cartilage to help lower the nasal
Hump Nose
A hump nose, also known as a dorsal hump, is characterized by a protruding nasal bridge and a drooping nasal tip, which can create a profile that resembles a bird’s beak. This type of nose may give the face a stronger, more masculine, stubborn, or older-looking impression.
Hump nose correction focuses on removing the protruding area of the nasal bridge and refining the line from the bridge to the nasal tip for a smoother, more balanced nasal profile.

Step 01
Improving the protruding dorsal hump by rasping or osteotomy, depending on the nasal structure

Step 02
Refining the nasal bridge and tip to create a smoother, more balanced, and sophisticated profile
Long nose
A long nose may be caused by the nose itself appearing too long or the nasal tip drooping downward, creating an arrow-like appearance. This can occur due to the improper positioning of the alar cartilage and overdevelopment of the septal cartilage.
Long nose correction can help improve the appearance by lifting the drooping nasal tip upward and creating a more balanced nasal profile.

Septal cartilage
Removal
Step 01
Removing the elongated portion of the septal cartilage
Step 02
Refining the downward-pointing long nose for a cleaner and more balanced nasal profile
Crooked Nose
A crooked nose, where the nasal bridge and tip are deviated to one side, can affect not only the overall appearance but also nasal function in some cases.
Crooked nose correction may help improve both the functional and aesthetic aspects of the nose by addressing the deviation and creating a more balanced nasal structure.
When the nasal deviation is mild
Step 01
Diagnosing the cause and degree of the nasal deviation
Step 02
Correcting the deviated area by placing an implant or cartilage along the nasal bridge
When the nasal deviation is severe
Step 01
Performing osteotomy on both deviated nasal bones and repositioning them toward the center Centered
Step 02
Correcting asymmetry of the lateral cartilage through septoplasty
Bulbous Nose
A bulbous nose is characterized by a wide, flat, and rounded nasal tip, which may make the overall facial impression appear less refined.
Bulbous nose correction focuses on identifying the underlying causes, such as the shape of the cartilage, the degree of cartilage separation, excess fatty tissue, and the thickness of the muscle and skin.
By carefully removing excess soft tissue and refining and repositioning the spread cartilage, the procedure aims to create a slimmer, more defined nasal tip.
When there is excess fat and thick skin tissue
Fat layer removal
A slimmer and more defined nasal tip can be achieved by carefully removing an appropriate amount of excess fat and muscle tissue beneath the skin.
When the alar cartilage at the nasal tip is widely separated

The separated cartilage is sutured together, and a support structure is created using autologous cartilage. Additional cartilage grafting at the nasal tip may help create a more defined and elevated nasal tip.
A 1mm Customized Nasal Implant, Designed for One Individual
At 1mm Plastic Surgery, each implant is individually customized to achieve a closer fit with the patient’s nasal structure.
This helps reduce the risk of implant-related issues that may occur when an implant does not fit properly, such as deviation, displacement, or visible implant edges.

Enhancing the Side Profile with
the Nasolabial Angle
An overly narrow nasolabial angle can make the face appear less defined and may create the impression of a protruding mouth. At 1mm Plastic Surgery, we analyze each patient’s facial proportions and carefully adjust the nasolabial angle to create a more refined and balanced nasal profile.

Q&A
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How long does the swelling from nose surgery last?
Swelling after rhinoplasty may vary from person to person, but severe swelling or bruising usually subsides within 1 to 2 weeks. After about a month, it becomes relatively natural, and residual swelling and scarring gradually improve up to 6 months.
Q. Will the implants be very noticeable if my skin is thin?
If the skin is thin, inserting an excessively high implant may cause it to be visible or appear artificial. Therefore, to achieve satisfactory results, an implant suitable for the individual must be inserted following an accurate diagnosis.
Q. Should I dissolve the fillers I got a long time ago and get rhinoplasty?
Even if the filler was injected a long time ago, residue may remain if a large amount was injected or if it was administered over multiple sessions. It is recommended to dissolve the filler, as this can lead to deformation or complications after rhinoplasty.
Q. Will the implant become crooked or move if I sleep on my side after rhinoplasty?
For the first few days after rhinoplasty, it is recommended to sleep in a slightly upright position. You must be careful to avoid applying impact by touching the area with your hands or tossing and turning while sleeping. If you feel or see the implant moving, you must visit the clinic promptly for examination.
